Eugene Doll & Novelty Co.

For all of you new parents, the best advice I can give you is buy two of every toy/doll your child loves (their favorite). If your child happens to attach to a certain thing, buy an extra, hell buy two extras and keep one in the box in the closet.
Think back almost a decade ago. The internet was barely making it into every home, there was no e-bay, no craigs list, we were just getting out of the VANs and TRUNKs (Internet geek speak). I think ISDN was still around?
Anyway, my oldest daughter had her "baby", she named Sally. This doll went everywhere and was everything to her. Somebody took her doll and she was devistated. I was in Procurement/Logistics back then and I thought I ruled the world. I went on a hunt for the doll.
The doll was manufactured by Eugene Doll and Novelty Co., that was purchased by Goldberger. I tracked down the company, the admin, her name was Melissa was very helpful and sympathetic to my case. However, it turns out that the dolls are made by individual artists (doll makers) so they may not always be the same. Melissa broke down the distribution chain for me and I began my Nationwide search for baby Sally. I found out every national, regional, and ma & pa toy store that carried Eugene and Goldberger Musical Moving Babies. There was one left on the East coast at a Zainy Brainy toy store. It past the shipping time for the store but I pleaded my case and had the clerk run it to fedex for overnight delivery. Baby Sally was going to be there for dinner the next day.
Mel (my ex) and I could not sleep that night in anticipation of our visitor the next day. They did not have early morning delivery yet, so I had to settle for the 10:30 am delivery. 10:35, I get call from Mel: "well it isn't Sally, but it is close". Defeat.
Baby Kelly is still with us, and as far as I know she is the last of her kind. Every now and again I find myself search for Baby Sally... My girl has forgotten about her baby, but me and mom have not. From time to time we discuss our searches and as silly as it seems, it means the world to us.

A child is born without sin then is raised on lies and shallowness. A will to be powerful and godlike make him forgetful of pain and mercy. The child has grown to be a man. Once an angel, mother's baby he is torn apart by his own way - Another broken dream...
