Nothing you haven't heard before. People suck. It's a fact of life that everyone must eventually realize in order to function in today's workforce. You've heard it from the beginning: "The customer is always right." It's just a nice way of saying: "Give this guy what he wants because his head is so far up his ass that it's actually gone all the way up to where a head should be." It's not just customers, it's co-workers, bosses, people driving down the road (especially these people driving). It really starts beating you down. You try to see the good in these people. You justify their actions: "Maybe they had a bad day at work", "Maybe their home life is upsetting them", "Maybe it's the current economic situation". These small justifications are every bit as unhealthy and harmful to society as the asshole who is causing the trouble. You had a bad day at work, so you make my work day hell?! Frack that! You have a bad home life and then bring that negativity to work and dump it in my lap like a flaming bag of dog crap? Not gonna happen!
The world is full of douche bags. But do attitudes like mine help? No. I really doubt it. Sometimes it's all you can do to keep from pounding your fists on the ground and screaming for revenge against the person who "wronged" you. It's hard to think of how someone becomes that douche bag customer until you take a look at yourself and realize that that jerk screaming at the top of his lungs is you. "It's a quiet thing, to fall. Much more terrible to admit it." It's something that happens gradually and without much in the way of realization.
